Reporting to the Mayor and City Council, the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) will help define and execute the City’s Strategic Plan that will set direction, guide decisions and align the priorities of the City of Medicine Hat to maintain and enhance the quality of life and ensure fiscal responsibility towards tax and rate payers. The CAO role provides a unique opportunity to provide leadership to not only municipal operations but also to the City’s extensive energy and land assets. 

As the CAO, you will continue transformation in the City through fulfilling the priorities set by Council. You will support the Mayor and Council in developing and implementing policy and strategy.  You will model your exemplary leadership and relationship skills. Having built a career and track record of success in executive roles with a large, complex organization, you will demonstrate passion for public service and embrace the community in which you live.
