 The Town of Strathmore invites applications for the position of Director of Strategic & Administrative  Services. The Director reports directly to the Chief Administrative Officer and is responsible for the strategic direction of the organization, corporate business planning, economic development, communication services, inter-government relations, legislative services, human resource services and policy development. The position requires an individual who is self motivated, can identify, evaluate risks and maintain high levels of efficiency and productivity while developing policies and procedures and make decisions in a timely manner. Strong leadership and political acumen skills, logical decision maker, self-starter and strong management skills are required for this role. The Director is a member of the strategic leadership team.

 Strathmore is located on Highway 1 approximately 40 minutes east of Calgary and has a population of close to 14,000. The community offers all amenities that appeal to a wide range of lifestyles including first class educational facilities.

 As the ideal candidate, you are a proven senior team leader, with strong communications skills, as well as strong human resource management skills. You must have a minimum of five (5) years of municipal management experience supplemented by a degree in public administration business management. You demonstrate honesty and integrity and will install these values in your team. You are an innovative leader who can motivate and inspire your team in working towards a common vision.
